Hi there. I’m Emma and I’m a senior video journalist at The Wall Street Journal in New York. Previously, I lived in New Orleans and worked at NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune. And before that, I did a long stint in Washington, D.C. where I got my Master’s degree in New Media Photojournalism and worked at Agence France-Presse.

I’ve documented a wide range of subjects from the removal of Confederate monuments, to the long-lasting effects of violence on children to the many devastating severe weather events in southeast Louisiana. I produced an interview series with the Democratic candidates in 2019, a string of panel discussions with voters from across the country and a visual investigation of the Capitol riot. I’m at my best in collaborative, innovative environments and I’ll never pass up an opportunity to work in the field.

My work has been published by The Wall Street Journal, The Times-Picayune, NBC, PBS, and Agence France-Presse. My short documentary, The Children of Central City, was featured in the Meet the Press + AFI Film Festival, the PBS Online Film Festival and the New Orleans Film Festival, where it won an Audience Award. I’ve been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Press Foundation, the Dart Awards and the Suncoast EMMY Awards.

And finally, I’m a proud alum of the Online News Association’s Women’s Leadership Accelerator.
